Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to provide strategic and operational leadership for revenue cycle functions across the Faculty Practice Plan’s ambulatory academic practice. You will optimize financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence through data-driven decisions and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Extensive revenue cycle management across patient access, coding, billing, AR and cash collections.
• Strong knowledge of CMS, Medicare/Medicaid, HIPAA and payer regulations.
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting, KPI management and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute revenue cycle strategy aligned with institutional goals.
• Direct AR operations to achieve Days in AR, collections, denials targets; drive cash flow.
• Oversee CDM governance, CPT/HCPCS/ICD updates, and compliant billing practices.
• Collaborate with clinical, coding, compliance, and finance to implement revisions.
• Lead process improvement projects and maintain strong internal controls.
