Job Summary

Lead Campus Dining as the Director of Retail Food Service at Western Washington University!

Are you passionate about food experiences? Ready to innovate in campus dining? We are looking for a creative and proactive Director of Retail Food Service to manage our vibrant retail dining at Western Washington University.

This role involves overseeing multiple high-volume venues, including national brands, at a scenic university campus. You will manage teams and enhance customer experiences, significantly impacting campus community engagement through food.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and motivate managers, supervisors, and staff across multiple locations.
• Ensure high standards in food quality, customer service, and brand consistency.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting and reporting.
• Create a positive work culture through recruitment, training, and development.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate on marketing efforts, including social media and promotions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in Food Services Technology/Management or related; A.A. with experience is also considered.
• 5-7 years in foodservice operations management, with inventory and purchasing expertise.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Experience with P&L management or contract services preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial skills.
• ServSafe Certification required.
