Restaurant Brands International Inc. is seeking a Director of Restaurant Technology to steer architecture and implementation of technology solutions for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Americas in Miami.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions for POS, Back of House, and digital experiences, drive vendor partnerships, and ensure QA and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise restaurant technology solutions.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Define technology solutions for Popeyes restaurants spanning POS, Back of House, and Digital technologies.
• Lead technology initiatives and coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and field teams.
• Ensure Quality Assurance processes, including manual and automated testing, are followed to meet reliability and performance standards.
• Manage vendors/partners to deliver modern, sustainable technology solutions.
• Maintain the cross-functional technology portfolio across Digital and Restaurant technology workstreams.

In this role you will be responsible with designing technical solutions shaping the strategic direction for Popeyes restaurants.We are looking for a rockstar candidate, excited to help us drive new initiatives and innovations for our restaurants and our brand. A successful candidate partners with various teams in setting the direction and architecture of assigned restaurant technology initiatives. This role will be responsible for identifying not only project execution and guidance, but also technical and architectural solutions.RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week out of our office in Miami, FL.What You'll Do:Working with cross functional digital and technical teams to define technology solutions for Popeyes restaurants spanning Point of Sale, Back of House, and Digital technologies.Leading development of assigned technology initiatives to ensure stakeholder priorities are identified, validated, optimized, and communicated to various stakeholders including cross-functional team members, vendor partners, and field teams.Ensure Quality Assurance processes, including both manual and automated testing, are executed according to industry best practices to meet high standards for reliability and performance.Managing vendors/partners to build innovative and sustaining technology solutions with modern architecture.Maintaining the cross-functional technology project portfolio spanning both Digital and Restaurant technology workstreams.Providing weekly and ad-hoc updates on new technology requests as well as project portfolio to executive leadership.Reviewing and re-establishing the technology standardization and enhancement lifecycle from request through completion.Partner with technology deployment teams to ensure proper handoff between design/build, QA, and restaurant deployment.Responsible for ensuring all technology communications are communicated via relevant channels at appropriate time, proper cadence, and include information necessary for training, support, etc.Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.What You'll Bring:10+ years of overall experience designing, developing, and supporting hardware, software, and network technology decisions.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent on the job experience.Experience leading and developing technical staff in the design, quality assurance, and implementation of technology solutions.Experience working with Restaurant or Retail Technology platforms such as POS, Labor Scheduling Tools, and Back of House.Experience managing multi-disciplinary project portfoliosA relentless drive to innovate.A sense of urgency while being detail-orientated and hands-on.A high comfort level of navigating emerging channels both within and outside of the technology space to identify how to improve our crew and customer experiences.Candidates with restaurant experience will be prioritized.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.#PopeyesBenefits at all of our global offices are focused on physical, mental and financial wellness.
