Job summary

Gibson Center for Behavioral Change is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health – Residential to oversee the clinical and operational aspects of the Residential Program. You will lead staff, ensure quality care, and align practice with CARF, DMH, and agency standards.

This role collaborates with clinical services, nursing, and leadership to deliver safe, person-centered care. Requires credentials in behavioral health and several years of supervisory experience; you will chair committees and guide

Qualifications

• Must possess one of the following credentials or licenses (CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, LPC, or LCSW).
• Minimum of four (4) years of related behavioral health/human services experience.
• Progressive supervisory or management experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, support, and clinical guidance to residential staff.
• Ensure compliance with CARF standards, Missouri DMH requirements, and agency policies.
• Coordinate ongoing training and professional development for assigned staff.
• Provide case management, counseling, and educational activities as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with patients and staff.
• Chair committees and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with leadership to improve program outcomes.
