What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Lead and structure a team of 15+ research engineers, setting clear expectations and actively coaching
2. Collaborate with customers and internal leaders to shape the future of CoCounsel for Tax, Accounting, and Audit
3. Enable your team to solve complex business problems and drive the end-to-end model development lifecycle
4. Foster innovative ideas and practices in AI/ML research engineering across the enterprise
5. Manage project portfolios, budgets, priorities, and staff allocation

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent; Master’s or PhD preferred
2. 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in Machine Learning products
3. 5+ years of management experience with high-performing teams in an agile environment
4. Demonstrated experience integrating machine learning solutions into production-grade software
5. Expertise in Python and relevant libraries, along with experience in designing solutions with large language models

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. 8+ years of management experience in coaching and developing high-performing teams
2. Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) problems such as Named Entity Recognition (NER) and Information Retrieval
3. Hands-on experience with other programming languages like Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript
