Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking a Director of Renewable Energy Origination to lead development and execution of commercial strategies across North America.

You will secure power off-take agreements, build strategic customer relationships, and identify new opportunities for the Power and Renewables portfolio. You will oversee a team, negotiate PPAs and REC transactions, and collaborate with Corporate Development and Risk to advance opportunities while ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive business experience, including 10+ years in energy and 5 years in renewable energy transactions.
• Experience across PJM, MISO, ERCOT, WECC, AESO, or Ontario.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage PPAs and other revenue-generating agreements.
• Strong ESG understanding and stakeholder management.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the renewable energy origination strategy, directing a team to identify, develop, and secure opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities with wholesale buyers, utilities, and corporate buyers.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry stakeholders and executives in target markets.
• Develop and execute multi-regional origination strategies aligned with decarbonization and growth plans.
• Lead negotiation, structuring, and execution of PPAs, REC transactions, capacity agreements, and other contracts.
• Provide market intelligence to support business development and project strategies.
• Partner with Corporate Development, Risk, Legal, and other teams to advance opportunities and ensure risk compliance.
• Represent Enbridge at conferences and meetings, delivering business cases to senior leadership.
