AIG is seeking a Director, Regulatory Affairs to join the Group Regulatory Team. The role supports regulatory examinations, strategic projects, process optimization, and ongoing support to US Regulatory. Interaction with senior regulators and executives is a key part of the position.
Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in large financial services with regulatory experience; Bachelor’s degree required. Base salary ranges reflect NY/NJ markets with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.
AIG is seeking a Director, Regulatory Affairs to join the Group Regulatory Team of AIG’s GLCR Global Regulatory Group. Reporting to the Head of Group Regulatory, the successful candidate will support regulatory examinations, strategic projects, process optimization, solutions development, and the ongoing support that Group Regulatory provides to US Regulatory. This position will regularly interact directly with senior management of the regulatory organization and as such be a key contributor to the effective and consistent execution of the Group’s responsibilities.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
· SharePoint experience preferred.
· Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong multitasking skills and easily adaptable to change.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and process orientation with the ability to both validate existing processes as well as design future processes.
· Robust problem-solving skills, including the ability to find multiple solutions to complex problems.
· Appropriate assertiveness and sense of urgency.
· Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
· Collaborative and helpful.
Bachelor’s degree required.
5-8 years in a large financial services organization managing or supporting regulatory activities (exams, data calls, filings); insurance or insurance-related experience is a plus.
The base salary range for this position in New York, NY is $175,000-190,000, and in New Jersey the range is $170,000-`185,000 the role is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications. If your compensation expectations are above the posted range, your unique background matters to us.
