Job summary

First Place for Youth in Oakland is seeking a Regional Director of Programs to oversee the My First Place Program across multiple sites, manage budgets and contracts, and lead a distributed team of professionals.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, licensure (LCSW/LMFT) preferred, and at least five years of senior program management experience serving youth facing systemic barriers, including those in foster care. Regular travel and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• MA or MSW required; LCSW or LMFT with two+ years post-licensure experience preferred.
• 5 years of progressively responsible program management experience, supervising multi-level teams.
• Direct service experience with youth facing systemic barriers, preferably foster youth.

Responsibilities

• Leads multi-site program operations and ensures quality services.
• Manages budgets, contracts, and external relationships.
• Oversees human resources, supervision, coaching, and staff development.
• Represents agency to external stakeholders and drives program improvement.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.
