Oklahoma State University invites applications for the Director of the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (OADDL) in Stillwater, OK. This senior role leads a full-service veterinary diagnostic lab and oversees a $6 million budget with 40 staff, reporting to the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent professional veterinary degree and an advanced degree.
• At least five years of experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory or relevant work experience.
• At least five years directing/supervising experience.
• Board certification desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic vision and leadership for OADDL.
• Provide administrative and fiscal oversight, including responsible management of resources and long-term financial sustainability.
• Develop strategies to expand diagnostic services, revenue, partnerships, and client base.
• Maintain OADDL’s reputation for high-quality, timely, and innovative diagnostic services.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and standards.
• Ensure continued compliance with accreditation requirements (AAVLD) and NAHLN membership.
• Collaborate with OADDL Board of Advisors and Oklahoma stakeholders to support state needs.
• Support teaching, training, and service missions within the College of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
• Foster excellence, innovation, collaboration, professional development, and outstanding client service.
• Represent OADDL and OSU with governmental agencies and external partners.
