Job summary

Baker Tilly is looking for a Director to join our Real Estate Advisory Group. The Director will lead engagements and drive business development with public and private sector clients, delivering real estate advisory services including valuations, due diligence and acquisitions.

The role oversees managers, ensures deadlines, mentors staff, and collaborates with stakeholders to grow relationships and elevate client service across advisory projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, economics, business, accounting or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in asset/portfolio management, real estate finance or real estate development.
• Self-starter who exhibits drive and resourcefulness to work independently and with team members toward common goals.
• Ability to work in an evolving, team oriented environment and accept new challenges.
• State certified general appraiser in at least one state.
• MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute preferred.
• Strong financial analysis and review skills with the ability to recognize financial issues through review of financial statements and draft work product.

Responsibilities

The Director will be responsible for business development and lead engagements primarily related to work with public and private sector clients providing real estate advisory services including property valuation and consulting, appraisals, due diligence, real estate consulting, portfolio and property valuation, highest & best use analysis, and acquisition counseling. Ability to effectively interface with client and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality work, expand existing relationships and generate new business. The Director will serve as oversight for managers to ensure deadlines are met and to develop and train staff. In addition, the Director will serve as a coach to staff to further their professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, economics, business, accounting or a related field is a plus.

• 12+ years of experience in asset/portfolio management, real estate finance or real estate development is required.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and outside business professionals

• Self-starter who exhibits the drive and resourcefulness to work independently and with team members toward common Company goals - show confidence in functional skills and an ability to apply those skills in a multi-task cross-functional team setting

• Ability to work in an evolving, team oriented environment, and accept new challenges often operating independently

• State certified general appraiser in at least one state

• MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute preferred

• Strong financial analysis and review skills with the ability to recognize financial issues through review of financial statements and draft work product

The pay rate range for this job position is $299,930 – 393,676. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees/certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
