Job summary

Engine is seeking a Director, Distribution Strategy to own how our rate content is negotiated, distributed, and managed across every channel, partner, and connectivity surface. This role defines and shapes the distribution strategy end to end.

You will design rate distribution programs, set frameworks and products, and coordinate with partnerships and operations to ensure accurate, competitive, and protected rate content reaching the right partners and customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in distribution, channel management, revenue strategy, or connectivity in travel, hospitality, travel tech, or related platforms.
• Experience designing distribution programs or commercial frameworks and deciding market offerings.
• Deep understanding of how rates move across channels and parity across surfaces.
• Strong judgment on rate integrity and fencing and partner-relationship stakes.
• Comfort in partner-facing settings and co-owning the room with accounts.
• Technical and data fluency to discuss data flows with Product/Engineering without owning the backlog.
• Structured, systems-minded approach to unify fragmented rules and tools into one model.
• Commercial literacy linking distribution decisions to business value while avoiding pricing decisions.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-scaling organizations.
• Clear communication and sound decision-making under ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Own Engine's rate distribution strategy across channels, programs, partners, and segments.
• Design rate distribution programs, frameworks, segmentation, and rate products for partners.
• Position and pitch programs to chain and distribution partners with relationship owners.
• Define rate products for each channel and segment and evolve the mix over time.
• Design and enforce rate fencing rules to protect negotiated content.
• Own strategy and standards for rate loading and rate-plan enablement across surfaces.
• Build rate integrity capability with parity and accuracy monitoring and tooling.
• Translate strategy into a prioritized roadmap with Product and Engineering.
• Partner with Operations to ensure reliable execution without owning day-to-day tasks.
• Monitor industry trends to inform prioritization.
