Job summary

Ericsson Inc. seeks an Engineering Design Director with deep RAN engineering and network operations expertise. You will direct RF, transport, and design activities, manage teams across regions, and ensure adherence to standards while maintaining strategic customer relationships.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and a focus on automation and cloud-native solutions to improve security and efficiency. Collaboration with RF, Site Acquisition, and Construction teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related sciences.
• At least 8 years of experience in telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of business, operations, finance and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering operational activities within regions, including network operations and service delivery.
• Direct RF planning and design for small cells and macro solutions in US/Canada/LATAM.
• Lead transport design (IP, Microwave, Optical) and deployment for customers.
• Decide on design tools and related costs.
• Attend and host design change meetings and upgrades.
• Support engineers in project creation and task completion for network build plans.
• Assist business development with market penetration strategies and proposals.
