Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Product Finance leader to own R&D capital allocation and engineering operations. You will partner with senior Engineering and Product Operations leaders to drive product-level ROI, global workforce strategy, and the economics of AI-enabled software development.

In this role you will build scalable finance processes, lead headcount planning across global hubs, and guide decision making with data-driven insights while mentoring a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Strategic/Product Finance or R&D FP&A.
• Deep experience managing large-scale R&D OpEx, headcount capacity modeling, and multi-site workforce planning.
• Proven track record partnering with senior Engineering, Product Operations, and People/Workplace executives.
• Systems-level thinker with ability to re-engineer financial processes to scale.
• Experience building and leading high-output finance teams in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Own ROI measurement and R&D capital allocation frameworks across Databricks platform.
• Model AI tooling and token spend vs. headcount to optimize engineering economics.
• Lead multi-year headcount planning and global workforce strategy with real estate alignment.
• Scale R&D finance operations; automate workflows for headcount, planning, accruals, and SOX controls.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing finance team partnering with engineering and product leaders.
