Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Director Quality to join our growing Gas Power Generation team. The Director Quality is accountable for the development, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of Blattner's Quality Program across all projects and operations.

This leader establishes clear standards, drives consistent program execution, and leads talent development to build a high-performing organization capable of delivering best-in-class execution in utility-scale projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quality management, or related field.
  • 7+ years in construction and quality management and 3+ years of leadership in gas power/EPC environments.
  • Deep knowledge of industry codes and standards (NESC, ASTM, ACI, IEEE, OSHA).
  • Experience building and leading teams in complex construction/EPC environments.
  • Ability to translate quality philosophy into practical field standards.
  • Strong performance management and coaching skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

  • Lead development, refinement, and company-wide implementation of the Quality Program aligned with strategy, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Define systems to track and actively manage Quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

This role provides strong, visible leadership to ensure systemic quality assurance, quality control, product conformity, and execution reliability.

The Director Quality is accountable for the development, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the Blattner's Quality Program across all projects and operational functions. This role provides strong, visible leadership to ensure systemic quality assurance, quality control, product conformity, and execution reliability.

This leader establishes clear standards of accountability, sets direction for business unit wide quality expectations, and drives consistency in program execution across preconstruction and construction operations. A critical component of this role is the recruitment, development, coaching, and performance management of Quality team members to build a high-performing organization capable of delivering best-in-class execution.

STEP INTO THE ROLE
  • Leads the ongoing development, refinement, and business unit wide implementation of the Quality Program to ensure alignment with company strategy, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Defines systems to support tracking and actively managing Quality KPIs, ensuring proactive intervention on negative trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures consistent execution of the Quality Program across projects through collaboration with Project Management teams.
  • Establishes structured root cause analysis processes for nonconformities and ensures corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
  • Identifies talent gaps and leads workforce development efforts to ensure long-term organizational capability.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quality management, or related degree; or equivalent combination of related education and experience required.
  • 7 or more years of experience in construction and quality management and 3 or more years of previous leadership experience required, within utility-scale natural gas power generation, heavy industrial, or EPC field execution.
  • Deep knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (NESC, ASTM, ACI, IEEE, OSHA, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success building and leading teams in complex construction or EPC environments.
  • Ability to translate quality philosophy into practical field execution standards.
  • Strong capability in performance management, coaching, and personnel development.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable, predictive decision-making frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional peers without direct authority.
  • Regular travel required.

$178,151.00 - $258,319.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
