The role will establish ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI-aligned systems, chair the CCB, and drive ITR/CRR processes to prepare for prime contracts and government programs. The candidate will build CAPA, lead internal audits, and develop training for compliance, while coordinating with the COO on CMMC integration and qualification roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience leading aerospace/defense quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead QMS development aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI maturity for aerospace programs.
• Chair and govern Configuration Control Board (CCB) and document control processes.
• Develop and manage ITR and CRR frameworks.
• Lead internal audit program including planning, execution, corrective actions, and reporting.
• Build CAPA systems and root-cause analysis processes.
• Oversee Knowledge Management and Lessons Learned for space projects.
• Develop training and competency frameworks for quality compliance.
• Interface with government customers and prime contractors on quality plans.
• Partner with COO on CMMC cybersecurity integration and program quality oversight.
• Support certification roadmap toward ISO 9001 and CMMI appraisal.

This leader will establish and maintain quality systems aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI principles, develop Configuration Control Board (CCB) governance, oversee Independent Technical Review (ITR) processes, and build the institutional quality infrastructure required for prime contractor readiness and federal aerospace program execution.
