Job Description
Turner & Townsend is expanding significantly and seeks a senior leader, or Director of Construction Project Management, with healthcare experience to establish and lead our Sacramento market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with large-scale healthcare construction projects and OSHPD expertise.

The Director of Project Management will lead and develop a team of Project Managers, oversee project management services on major healthcare projects and programs, and ensure service excellence, client engagement, and market outreach. The role is based in our Sacramento office and requires a driven leader with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a project management team, ensuring delivery of all accountabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and oversee project management services.
  • Conduct research on construction market conditions and produce insights reports.
  • Manage strategic and operational aspects of Project Management Services, including resource and financial management, business development, and training.
  • Set and align team strategies with business goals.
  • Develop and nurture high-performing, inclusive teams.
  • Manage knowledge sharing and process improvements.
  • Ensure quality standards and participate in ISO audits.
  • Develop plans with risk mitigation, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Lead internal and external audits and maintain compliance.
  • Build market understanding, act as a brand ambassador, and develop client pipelines.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Manage financials, including revenue tracking and proposal development.
  • Support recruitment, training, and mentorship of staff.
  • Promote a unified, high-performing culture and adhere to SOX controls where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Membership in professional organizations.
  • 12+ years of relevant construction project management experience.
  • 2+ years leading large, multidisciplinary teams in a consulting environment.
  • Deep understanding of the construction project lifecycle, especially healthcare projects.
  • Proven success in project delivery and client relationship management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and business development skills.
  • OSHPD experience is required, along with familiarity with HCAI Permitting Process.

Additional Information

The salary range is $180K-$200K annually, based on experience and location, exclusive of benefits. Turner & Townsend values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer.
