Department Overview

The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools that allow customers to focus on their mission and respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. The Director leads the Project Management and Solution Integration team, delivering NextGen 9-1-1 projects for public safety customers. These projects include large Statewide, Regional, and Major Municipal Public Safety Applications, such as ALI Location Services, Emergency Call Handling, and NextGen 911 Core Routing solutions.

Note: Candidates may reside anywhere in the US with access to a major airport.

Overview:

This leadership role oversees Project Managers delivering NextGen 9-1-1 Location, Routing, and Call Handling solutions. The leader must stay current on industry developments, understand the competitive and economic environment, and lead the organization in innovative directions. The Director collaborates across teams, provides feedback and development guidance, and evaluates performance. They are proactive in addressing challenges, making bold decisions, and responding to customer feedback to meet their needs.

Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience or 15+ years managing complex deployments in Public Safety.
• Experience delivering NextGen 9-1-1 solutions is a strong plus.
• Established relationships with government and public safety organizations; participation in industry groups is desired.
• Contribute to policy decisions on NextGen 9-1-1 solutions and processes.
• Experience across the value chain: opportunity development, sales, product, delivery, support, operations.
• Expertise in project management methodologies and their application.
• Ability to influence at all levels and lead project management professionals.
• Strong project prioritization and team evaluation skills.
• Understanding of organizational resources, priorities, and policies.
• Business acumen, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with professionals, customers, and third parties.
• Continuous skill and knowledge development; role model for others.
• Ability to coordinate through highly matrixed relationships.
• PMP and/or CAPM certification is strongly desired.
• Proven experience with high-level customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and be accountable.
• Exceptional negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of products, technology, services, and business complexities.
• Ability to interface with senior leadership and governmental bodies.
• Experience managing development costs and related financials for future revenue programs.
• Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).

Compensation: Target Base Salary Range: $145,500 - $272,800 USD. Actual offers depend on experience and skills, consistent with company values and law.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline and 10+ years of project and people management experience, or 15+ years of equivalent experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer sponsorship is not available for this position.
