Job summary

Resources for Abortion Delivery (RAD) seeks a Director, Programs to lead the Programs Team within a national context, aligning work with RAD’s strategic roadmap and driving impact across funding, business operations support, and legal collaborations.

Reporting to Co-Executive Directors, the Director will guide a 5-person team, strengthen systems, and serve as a trusted thought partner to leadership while advancing RAD’s vision in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to ensuring equitable access to abortion and support for abortion seekers.
• Ability to deftly navigate the landscape of abortion providers and funders at a national scale.
• A solutions‑oriented leader who brings thoughtful, informed ideas on how to advance abortion access to a broad network of organizations, leaders, funders, providers, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction and leadership across RAD’s program areas, ensuring day‑to‑day decisions, priorities, and activities are aligned with the organization’s strategic roadmap.
• Lead program staff, navigate ambiguity, and help resolve questions or challenges to move work forward.
• Develop a deep understanding of RAD’s programmatic work and bring critical thinking to the organization’s work.
• Foster collaboration so RAD’s programmatic work and teams operate as an integrated whole.
• Partner with stakeholders to shape program strategy, budgeting, and measurement of impact.
