Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA seeks a Program Management Department Manager to lead the Integrated System Test Division PM function, building a high-performing team and improving portfolio visibility across complex initiatives.

The role partners with Central PMO, engineering, and cross-functional teams to drive disciplined planning, governance, and execution, raising PM maturity and enabling effective decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in program, project, or portfolio management within complex engineering-driven environments.
• Strong product-development expertise with proven cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Program Management team to strengthen capability, consistency, and execution excellence.
• Develop and sustain disciplined product-development and program-management practices across the division.
• Collaborate with engineering, business, and cross-functional leaders to align priorities, resolve issues, and improve execution.
• Build portfolio-level visibility into program health, risks, scope changes, dependencies, and key decisions.
• Support R&D budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and investment trade-offs across the project portfolio.
• Partner with Central PMO leadership to drive adoption of standard PM practices through change leadership, communication, coaching, and operating rhythm discipline.
• Mentor program managers and strengthen accountability, ownership, and talent development within the team.
• Ensure programs have clear structure, schedule rigor, resource alignment, decision rights, escalation paths, and change control.
