Job summary

Hippo Insurance is seeking a Director of Program Business for Spinnaker to lead a portfolio of programs with full P&L responsibility. You will set growth and profit plans, develop underwriting guidelines, and supervise program administrators/MGAs while coordinating CAT objectives and reinsurance placements.

Strong leadership and collaboration with Finance, Operations, and Hippo risk management are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of risk management experience in personal and/or commercial insurance.
• Proficient with setting and negotiating Reinsurance Programs.
• Experience with coverage analysis.
• Understanding of technical claims proficiency and best practices.
• Knowledge of contracts, policy forms, reinsurance and state regulation.

Responsibilities

• Own program P&L and set annual goals for profitability and growth.
• Lead onboarding, renewals, and CAT management for programs.
• Interface with Claims TPA, reinsurers, and brokers for each program.
• Ensure compliance with terms and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance for reporting and account reconciliation.
