Job summary

EnerSys in Reading, PA, is seeking a senior product manager to oversee energy storage product lines, shaping strategy and lifecycle management across domestic and international markets.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive new product plans, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, PMO, and Engineering to deliver competitive offerings and pricing strategies. Occasional travel and on-site collaboration are expected.

Responsibilities

• Gather knowledge of markets and customer trends to develop product line architectures for domestic and international markets.

• Promote strong relationships among Product Management, Sales, Operations, PMO, and Engineering; implement product introduction strategies with Marketing.
• Develop customer pricing and OEM distribution pricing strategies with Sales leadership.
• Attend industry trade shows and on-site visits to gather tech trends informing strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership through industry talks, webinars, and technical content.

Job Purpose

Oversees the product management function for energy storage product lines to create and implement successful strategies that lead to the development and lifecycle management of product portfolios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather knowledge of relevant markets and customer trends, leading to the development of product line architectures for both domestic and international markets.
• Direct and oversee the justification for product development, improvement, or obsolescence based on product performance.
• Drive the definition and implementation of new product plans and product development projects.
• Promote strong working relationships among Product Management, Sales, Operations, PMO, and Engineering.Implement product introduction strategies in collaboration with the Marketing department.
• Develop customer pricing and, when necessary, OEM distribution pricing strategies in collaboration with sales leadership.
• Attend industry trade shows and on-site customer visits to gather information on technology trends that inform product strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership through industry conference speaking engagements, webinar interviews, and the creation of technical papers and other content.

Qualifications

• Ability to motivate cross-functional teams and work effectively within a matrix organization.
• Proven track record of leading teams.Understanding of sales processes, strategy development, business case development, and market implementation.
• Ability to present strategic initiatives to senior and executive leadership.Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent understanding of budgeting, P&L management, and product profitability analysis.
• Ability to achieve objectives within budget constraints.Professional demeanor with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to engage with customers while demonstrating a high level of technical competence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with battery energy storage products.

General Job Requirements

• This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime.
• Must be able and willing to be on-call.
