Job summary

Illumia is seeking a Sr. Director of Product Design & User Experience to build a high-performing design organization and shape product strategy across portfolios.

This leader will own design systems, user research, accessibility, and AI experience strategy, partnering with product management and software engineering to deliver valuable, usable, and ethical experiences. Qualifications

• Lead product design, UX research, and design systems across multiple product lines.
• 10+ years in Product Design or UX leadership.
• 5+ years leading design teams in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
• Experience in empowered product teams with cross-functional ownership.
• Strong storytelling and executive influencing skills.
• Portfolio showing systems thinking and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Develops and owns the Product Design and UX operating model.
• Builds, hires, coaches, and develops a team of designers and researchers.
• Establishes design craft standards, research practices, and review mechanisms.
• Ensures participation in discovery from the earliest stages as product trio members.
• Leads customer research, usability testing, and insight synthesis.
• Owns Illumia's design system and accessibility standards across portfolios.
• Represents UX in executive planning and cross-functional strategy discussions.
