Starbucks Coffee Company seeks a Director, Privacy to lead a high‑impact team across privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and data governance. The role reports to the Director, Managing Corporate Counsel, Privacy and works with executives and counsel to manage risk and align privacy with business strategy.

The position emphasizes privacy program development, regulatory compliance across US and international laws, and close collaboration with legal, security, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in privacy with relevant leadership experience
• Experience building privacy programs compliant with US and international laws
• Strong collaboration with legal, security, and engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Lead privacy and records management across privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and data governance.
• Advise senior executives and in‑house counsel on privacy risks and policy.
• Develop and drive enterprise‑wide privacy operations, programs and training.
• Coordinate with vendors to manage privacy platforms and tooling.
• Oversee data mapping, DPIAs, and cross‑border data transfers.
• Partner with security teams on incident response and regulatory inquiries.
