Starbucks Coffee Company seeks a Director, Privacy to lead a high‑impact team across privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and data governance. The role reports to the Director, Managing Corporate Counsel, Privacy and works with executives and counsel to manage risk and align privacy with business strategy.
The position emphasizes privacy program development, regulatory compliance across US and international laws, and close collaboration with legal, security, and engineering teams.

The director, Privacy will lead a team of privacy and records management professionals on operational and program management matters relating to privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, national security, records management, and data governance. The role will execute the strategy for the team’s areas of accountability and develop the team to deliver on business objectives with the leadership and legal guidance of the director, Managing Corporate Counsel, Privacy.
This role involves proactively engaging with and advising senior executives and in-house counsel, managing significant risks in a commercially pragmatic manner, identifying and anticipating highly complex privacy/operational issues, and reaching broadly and impactfully across the organization.

For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
