Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY seeks a Director or Associate Director for its Preventive and Wellness Cardiology Program. The role leads a data-driven preventive cardiology initiative integrating lifestyle medicine, genetics, imaging and digital health, and combines inpatient and outpatient duties.

The candidate will teach, mentor fellows and students, participate in research and quality initiatives, and may have imaging time for echocardiography and related procedures.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent) and board certified in Internal Medicine.
• Board eligible/board certified in Cardiovascular disease.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Preventive and Wellness Cardiology Program.
• Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and students.
• Engage in research, quality improvement or implementation science focused on prevention and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Heart Institute faculty in inpatient and outpatient care.
