Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Director of Power BI to lead enterprise reporting for the revenue cycle team. You will shape strategy, governance, and architecture for scalable analytics across the organization.

You will mentor a team of analysts, define data models, and partner with IT, security, and operations to ensure secure, high-performing dashboards and data flows. The role requires healthcare analytics experience and a track record delivering insights through Power BI and DAX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields.
• 5-7 years of experience in a revenue cycle analytics position in healthcare.
• 2+ years' experience managing and mentoring a team of direct reports.
• Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation; Power BI certifications are a plus.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts.
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
• Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Power BI strategy, governance framework, platform roadmap, and enterprise standards for workspaces, semantic models, reports, dashboards, dataflows, and deployment processes.
• Partner with IT, Infrastructure, Security, Data Engineering, and Database Administration teams to design, implement, maintain, and optimize the Power BI environment.
• Oversee the administration and optimization of the Microsoft Power BI Service, including tenant-level configurations, governance controls, scalability, availability, and security.
• Define and manage Power BI licensing strategies, including Pro, Premium Per User, Premium Capacity, and Microsoft Fabric, monitoring utilization and cost opportunities.
• Establish data architecture and modeling standards supporting scalable, high-performing reporting.
• Collaborate with revenue cycle project leaders to translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Design and develop complex Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, DAX calculations, and measures.
• Develop and maintain recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards; support ad-hoc analyses.
