Job summary

Mozilla.org seeks a Director, Portfolio Management to lead portfolio planning, governance, and performance management across the Mozilla portfolio. This role collaborates with senior leaders and reports to the COO, shaping governance and operating rhythms.

You will translate priorities into clear plans, build dashboards, and coordinate cross-organizational initiatives to drive accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy. The role offers a global impact with a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a multi-entity holding company or investment management, private equity, venture capital, or development finance organization.
• Experience in portfolio-level roles, strategy, business operations, portfolio operations or strategic program management.
• Strong connection to Mozilla’s mission with operational and business discipline.
• Familiarity with Board governance and capital allocation processes preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the portfolio planning process, integrating strategies, operating plans, capital needs and portfolio priorities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards and reporting for visibility into priorities, performance and risks.
• Partner with Finance and leaders to align priorities, plans and resource allocation.
• Create analyses, benchmarks and insights; identify trends and attention areas.
• Synthesize portfolio data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Evolve operating frameworks, decision rights and playbooks for Mozilla.org and portfolio teams.
• Coordinate governance processes and prepare materials for leadership and Board discussions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce cross-org coordination.
• Lead cross-org initiatives and translate priorities into workstreams with owners and milestones.
