Job summary

TSE Industries, Inc. in Clearwater, FL seeks a Director of R&D and Quality to lead the company’s research and development, technical service, process development, scale‑up and quality functions for polyurethane toll manufacturing customers.

This role drives transition of lab developments to commercial manufacturing while ensuring product performance and regulatory compliance. The position partners with customers, Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to translate requirements

Qualifications

• Master's in Organic Chemistry with 10+ years related work experience.
• 5–7 years in chemical formulations and polyurethane knowledge.
• Experience with analytical lab devices and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of polyurethane formulations from lab to full-scale production.
• Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and commercial objectives.
• Translate customer concepts into development plans and viable formulations.
• Lead formulation development, raw material evaluations, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Establish manufacturing procedures, process parameters, and quality controls for new products.
• Mentor R&D, laboratory, process engineering, and quality personnel.
