Job summary

The Maryland Department of Human Services seeks a Director, Policy and Training for the Child Support Administration in Baltimore. This is a Management Service position serving at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

You will direct the development, interpretation, and implementation of policy, regulations, and training across CSA programs, coordinating with central, metro, and local offices, and overseeing curriculum design across classroom, web-based, and workshop formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eight years of administrative, professional or technical work experience, with at least three years supervising staff or overseeing program development.

Responsibilities

• Directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of up-to-date legislation, regulations, policy, and training for all CSA programs.
• Directs the maintenance of current, accurate, and federally approved state plan and amendments for the Maryland child support program on file with the federal Office of Child Support Services.
• Interprets federal/state laws, developing written regulations, policies and procedures for working with other DHS agencies to administer public assistance programs in Maryland.
• Ensures the Maryland Child Support Guidelines are reviewed every four years as required by federal regulation.
