Job summary
Fox Corporation is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to build and lead a new team focused on advancing in-house software development, platform engineering, and AI-enabled capabilities. You will establish standards and gates to turn concepts into secure, scalable tools and platforms.

Qualifications
- Experience leading software/platform engineering, DevOps, MLOps, or infrastructure teams.
- Strong proficiency with Python and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience taking internal tools, platforms, or products from concept or POC into production.
- Experience with CI/CD, testing, deployment, release management, and production support.
- Experience with AI workflows, LLMs, model deployment, inference, or AI-enabled development.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Claude or similar LLM-based tools used for software development, prototyping, or automation.
- Understanding of agentic concepts, feedback loops, human-in-the-loop validation, and risk management.
- Experience with responsible AI practices, model governance, or enterprise tech risk frameworks.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead a new platform engineering team supporting in-house development, AI-enabled workflows, and production readiness.
- Establish standards and readiness gates for moving solutions from concept to production.
- Partner with FOX Technology and Broadcast Engineering to mature internal tools for engineering and operational workflows.
- Create and improve workflows for CI/CD, testing, deployment, release management, documentation, and operational support.
- Serve as a technical gatecheck for AI-assisted development, ensuring security, scalability, and production readiness.
- Guide the responsible use of LLMs, Python libraries, and emerging agentic workflows.
- Partner with information security on secure development and vulnerability management.
- Lead agile delivery for approved concepts and translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements.
- Support local compute initiatives enabling shared platform capabilities across FOX teams.
- Mentor and develop a small team of software engineers.
