Job Description:

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Director, Physician Contracting to join our Physician Compensation and Acquisition Department. This remote position ideally requires residency in KY or IN.

The Director of Physician Contracting will oversee all aspects of physician contracting, focusing on three main areas:

1. Physician Contracting: Develop term sheets and compensation offers for contract renewals, review offers with established physician partners, and independently manage negotiations with physicians or their legal counsel. Manage the process for initiating and delivering signature-ready agreements, including:

• Physician Employment Agreements (New or Renewal)
• Amendments to Physician Employment Agreements (e.g., call pay, medical directorship, part-time transition)
• Professional Service Agreements
• Asset Purchase Agreements (APA)
• Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)
• Billing Service Agreements

Physician Recruiting Support: Develop and review compensation offers for new physician candidates, manage the entire contracting process, including employment contracts, and develop expertise in recruiting International Medical Graduates (IMG), handling immigration, visa waivers, and permanent residency issues due to specific employment and work location requirements.

Support for Executive Decision-Making Committees and Internal Workgroups: Collaborate with the Compensation Committee of the BHMG Board, Transaction Review Committee, and Executive Review Committee (ERC), working alongside BHS Legal Team.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Healthcare or Business-related field; MBA, MHA, CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in physician alignment strategy, preferably within a multi-hospital health system.
• Experience with physician contract negotiations, working with physician leaders, hospital administrators, and medical governance.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills are essential.
