Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Director, Provider Compensation to lead governance, strategy, and administration of physician and advanced practice provider compensation programs across the health system.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role collaborates with physician leaders, finance, legal, HR, and recruitment to translate market insights into compliant, market-aligned compensation plans that advance performance and physician engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, HR, accounting, or related field required.
• Minimum seven years of healthcare compensation experience; leadership experience required.
• Experience with physician compensation plans, recruitment, and governance preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads governance for physician and AP provider compensation programs.
• Manages external compensation consultants and value firm engagements.
• Provides strategic advisory services to physician and operational leaders.
• Oversees contract compensation administration and related payments.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with Stark Law, AKS, and related standards.
