Job Profile

Job Summary

Director Pharmacy Business Services provides enterprise leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the Harris Health 340B Drug Pricing Program, pharmacy purchasing, inventory management, medication procurement, and related financial stewardship activities. This role is accountable for maintaining perpetual 340B regulatory readiness, optimizing program value, ensuring compliant drug purchasing and utilization, strengthening inventory controls, and supporting medication access for patients served by the organization.

The Director serves as the organization's subject matter expert for 340B program operations and compliance and partners closely with pharmacy, finance, revenue integrity, compliance, supply chain, information technology, ambulatory care, hospital operations, legal, and executive leadership. The position ensures that 340B eligibility, split-billing processes, purchasing activity, accumulations, contract pharmacy oversight, audit controls, and inventory practices are accurate, defensible, efficient, and aligned with applicable federal and state requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD
• Masters Degree in in business, finance, public health, or pharmacy administration (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• Apexus Advanced 340B Certification (Preferred)
• BLS American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of employment
• Licensed Pharmacist Registered with Texas State Board of Pharmacy

Work Experience

Seven (7) Years Work Experience:

1. Advanced knowledge of 340B program operations, compliance expectations, purchasing models, inventory controls, split-billing logic, audit methodology, and pharmacy financial stewardship
2. Advanced knowledge of pharmacy purchasing inventory management and reimbursement
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret purchasing trends, inventory performance, WAC exposure, savings opportunities, audit findings, and regulatory risk.
4. Pharmacy finance, supply chain, inventory leadership
5. Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations, 340B program requirements, HRSA expectations, duplicate discount prevention, diversion prevention, and health-system pharmacy operations required.
6. Experience with pharmacy revenue cycle, charge description master governance, medication assistance programs, wholesaler contracting, group purchasing organization strategy, and vendor management preferred.
