Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis seeks a Director of Pharmacy to lead medication-use processes, planning and staff management in the Pharmacy Department. This role directs clinical activities, ensures compliance with all laws and accrediting bodies, and drives improvements in patient safety and outcomes. Qualifications include 5 years of pharmacy experience with 3 years in hospital pharmacy management, and a Pharm.

D. or B.S. in Pharmacy with Tennessee licensure.

Qualifications

• 5 years of pharmacy experience; 3 years working in hospital pharmacy management.
• Pharm. D. or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• State of Tennessee Pharmacy License.
• Pharmacy residency or fellowship training preferred.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Job Description

The Director of Pharmacy manages the medication use process through the planning, organization, management, and direction of the operations, clinical activities and staff of the Pharmacy Department.

Responsibilities

• Ensures legal and regulatory compliance with federal, state and local laws and accrediting bodies
• Recruits, hires, develops and retains competent pharmacy staff
• Creates the annual budget and submits capital expenditures requests per policy
• Reviews and revises Policy and Procedures annually or as required by hospital bylaws
• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience: 5 years of pharmacy experience; 3 years working in hospital pharmacy management
• Education: Pharm. D. or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Licensure/Certifications: State of Tennessee Pharmacy License

Preferred:

• Experience: Pharmacy residency or fellowship training
• Education: Master's Degree preferred
