Job summary

UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh seeks an outstanding academic pediatric radiologist to serve as Director of Pediatric Ultrasound. This on-site leadership role oversees ultrasound services across CHP and affiliated sites, driving quality, innovation, and education.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, strong clinical excellence, and a record of academic productivity and teaching, with fellowship in Pediatric Radiology and radiology board certification.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification in Radiology.
• Fellowship training and/or subspecialty certification in Pediatric Radiology.
• Appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong record of clinical excellence, academic productivity, and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary clinical, academic, and operational leadership for the Section of Pediatric Ultrasound within the Division of Pediatric Radiology.
• Oversee pediatric ultrasound services across UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Magee Women’s Hospital, and affiliated regional sites.
• Standardize practices, enhance quality and patient safety, and improve operational efficiency across the network.
• Lead innovation in pediatric ultrasound, including elastography, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, super-resolution imaging, and AI applications.
• Support the department’s academic mission: high-quality clinical care, educational initiatives, mentoring, technologist education, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
