Job summary

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, in collaboration with the Department of Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, seeks an outstanding academic pediatric neuroradiologist to serve as Director of Pediatric Neuroradiology. This role leads a nationally recognized pediatric neuroradiology service and shapes its clinical, educational, and research directions.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification in Radiology and completion of fellowship training or subspecialty certification (or eligibility) in Neuroradiology or Pediatric Radiology with expertise in pediatric imaging.
• Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor (or eligibility for appointment at those levels).
• Leadership experience and a track record of clinical excellence, scholarship, and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical, educational, and research leadership for the subspecialized Section of Pediatric Neuroradiology within Pediatric Radiology.
• Oversee all clinical operations of the pediatric neuroradiology section; mentor faculty and trainees; drive quality improvement and patient safety.
• Create strategic initiatives to enhance national visibility and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, and developmental pediatrics.
• Optimize advanced imaging techniques including functional MRI, diffusion imaging, fetal MRI, quantitative neuroimaging, and AI in neuroimaging.
• Maintain scholarly activity and publications; collaborate with the Pediatric Imaging Research Center (PIRC) and clinical collaborators; work with fellowship director to expand training.
