Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. in Phoenix seeks a Director of Trauma Services to lead the trauma program, oversee clinical practice and education, and coordinate system-wide care for injured children.

You will manage budgets, ensure compliance with state and national standards, supervise staff, and collaborate with physicians, EMS, and administration to advance quality and patient safety. This role requires RN licensure, extensive trauma leadership experience, and a commitment to pediatric

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in trauma centers with resource management.
  • Prior management and trauma nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and evaluate trauma services and multi-disciplinary team care.
  • Ensure compliance with trauma center standards and prepare site reviews.
  • Coordinate care management across continuum; develop policies and protocols.
  • Participate in community/state/national trauma system development.
  • Serve as liaison to administration; promote strategic departmental goals.
  • Manage trauma registry data; produce reports for agencies.
  • Act as liaison with physicians, EMS, students, and staff to optimize care.
  • Lead professional education and continuing education for trauma team.
  • Monitor trauma education CME compliance.
  • Lead outreach and community trauma education initiatives.
  • Serve on committees; represent trauma program.
  • Represent Phoenix Children's locally and nationally for trauma.
  • Oversee budget planning, monitoring revenue and expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with reimbursement regulations.
  • Lead performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
