Qualifications

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in Surgical Services
• Experience leading and developing nursing teams, including orientation and training
• Proven ability to oversee safe, efficient, cost-conscious patient care
• BSN required; MSN preferred; current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications; AORN certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour leadership and accountability for Surgical Services operations and patient care.
• Direct assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within assigned surgical units.
• Recruit, interview, orient, manage, and develop assigned personnel.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, effective patient care.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
• Manage resources to support cost-effective operations while maintaining quality and patient safety.
• Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, and clinical teams to support service-line goals.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
