Job summary

Playground Pediatrics is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to provide strategic leadership across AR, charge entry, posting, collections, and denial management. You will lead managers and billing teams, drive KPI performance, and ensure compliance with CMS and Medicaid while partnering with executives to optimize revenue cycle operations.

The role requires deep expertise in physician practice revenue cycles, strong analytics, and experience with major EMR systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience with hands-on leadership responsibility.
• Experience managing and coaching revenue cycle teams and employees.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physician practice revenue cycle, coding, claims, and denials.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel; experience in Power BI or similar data viz tools.
• Ability to travel up to 75% in year one to support teams and operations.
• CPC certification and willingness to obtain certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level oversight and leadership for revenue cycle across markets and EMRs.
• Oversee daily AR management and cash flow improvement.
• Lead teams for charge entry, claim edits, payment posting, denial follow-up, and refunds.
• Develop Revenue Cycle Managers and Billing Specialists.
• Monitor KPIs such as AR >90 days, denial rates, and cash projections.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, payer contracts, and Medicaid regulations.
• Lead implementation and optimization of revenue cycle platforms (ECW, Epic, Athena).
• Drive workflow improvements and automation to enhance performance.
