Job summary

Methodist Children's Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Director of Nursing to provide leadership, oversee staffing, budgeting, and patient care across units. The ideal candidate will have a BSN, at least 3 years of nursing experience, and preferably a master's degree with prior management experience as a charge RN or supervisor.

Qualifications

• BSN required and current Texas RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred, plus 1 year management experience as RN/manager.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to build a high-functioning team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a defined group of patients' care during hospitalization.
• Provide leadership for nursing units and staffing.
• Oversee budgeting and financial variance analysis for units.
• Direct, teach, and evaluate total nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
