Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressively responsible payroll experience in a large organization.
• Experience with multi-state payroll tax compliance and international tax reporting.
• Deep expertise with Oracle Cloud HCM, Workday, PeopleSoft, or SAP.
• Leadership of payroll automation and technology-enabled transformation.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of daily payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Supervise payroll staff, establish priorities, assign work, and monitor performance.
• Oversee international tax reporting and 1042-S compliance.
• Develop and execute a multiyear payroll modernization roadmap aligned with Vanderbilt's priorities.
• Lead system enhancements, testing, and adoption with strong internal controls.
