Job summary

STARZ is hiring a Director for Payroll to lead end-to-end multi-state payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing in compliance with regulations. You will manage equity compensation payroll, coordinate with Finance, Tax, and HR, and oversee audits and filings.

The role requires 8+ years in multi-state payroll, expertise in Workday and ADP, strong Excel skills, and a focus on confidentiality and deadline adherence. CPP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8+ years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience with equity compensation and payroll integration processes.
• Proficiency in Workday & ADP SmartCompliance.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication and confidentiality—ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll administration for multi-state payroll.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
• Oversee payroll balancing, audits, and period-end reporting.
• Manage equity compensation payroll activities and vesting events.
• Calculate, withhold, and remit taxes for equity-based compensation.
• Uphold payroll controls and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, HR, and vendors to resolve issues.
