AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL seeks a Payroll Director to establish and maintain internal controls for payroll operations. You will coordinate with Shared Services leadership, facility leadership, Human Resources, and Corporate Payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires coaching payroll staff, monitoring the annual budget, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of managerial experience.
• 9+ years of payroll experience.
• Experience in a shared service or healthcare organization preferred.

Job Description:

Establishes and maintains effective internal controls and procedures for payroll operations. Identifies and implements system modifications and process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency. Coaches, counsels, and develops payroll staff to ensure effective team performance. Achieves superior customer satisfaction by working directly with internal and external customers. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in payroll management and attending educational workshops. Available outside of normal business hours for occasional support needs. Other duties as assigned. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies in all payroll activities. Provides leadership and support to payroll team members, including guidance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Manages and leads payroll staff activities to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office [Required]

Education:

• Bachelor's [Required]

• Master's [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• in Accounting, Finance or related field

• in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance

Work Experience:

• 7+ managerial experience [Required]

• 9+ payroll experience [Required]

• Experience in a shared service or healthcare organization [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Pricing Professional (CCP-PPS) [Preferred]

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$127,310.90 - $236,789.66
