Job summary

Definium Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Patient Services Strategy in the United States to lead onboarding, REMS-related education, and ongoing patient support. You will align Regulatory, Marketing, Legal, and cross-functional teams to guarantee a successful DT120 commercial launch with compliant patient experiences.

The role requires 10+ years in the field, leadership experience, and deep knowledge of REMS, with the ability to travel 10–20% during launch periods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years industry related experience required
  • Minimum 5 years Patient Services experience required
  • Significant understanding of PS compliance and legal guidelines required
  • Experience with REMS strategies, compliance, and support offerings preferred
  • Experience with Patient Services CRM systems preferred
  • Launch experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical market required
  • Experience in CNS / psychiatry, specialty pharmaceutical, or complex treatment categories preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute patient support strategies to support the successful launch and commercialization of DT120
  • Support development and implementation of REMS via partnership with Compliance and internal/external partners
  • Design and operationalize end-to-end patient/care partner journeys from referral through long-term follow-up
  • Translate patient support strategy into workflows, CRM requirements, reporting and digital capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled capabilities, automation, and digital engagement
  • Create external materials driving engagement with DT120 and Definium team
  • Create internal training materials ensuring patient-facing teams have DT120 and REMS knowledge
  • Ensure Patient Services strategies support ongoing REMS education and compliance needs
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive department, program and patient success
  • Manage team of direct reports and lead cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead patient journey implementation across PS teams
  • Lead launch readiness activities including SOPs, training, testing, governance
  • Drive department culture as part of Patient Services Leadership Team
  • Oversee promotional review process to ensure regulatory-compliant materials
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Market Access to align engagement strategies
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies for engagement and launch readiness

The Director,Patient ServicesPatientStrategy will own thedevelopmentofandensure the successfulexecution ofthe Patient Servicesstrategyto drive the successful commercial launch of DT120, working closely withRegulatory,Marketing,Legal, and cross-functional commercial teams to align with corporate goals. This role willdrivehowDefiniumPatient Services supports patientsacrossonboarding,treatment preparation,all aspects ofREMS,andongoing support, while ensuring all initiatives meet stringent regulatory standards (e.g., FDA).This role is responsible forthestrategy creationandensuringthat DefiniumPS Case Management teamsare set up for success as they engage withpatients and externalparties.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development and implementation ofpotential REMS For DT120via partnership with Compliance and other internal and external partners
  • Design, continuously refine, and operationalize the end-to-end patient/care partner journeys-from referral through long-term follow-up-ensuring a seamless andcomplianttreatmentexperience
  • Translate patient support strategy into operational workflows, business requirements, CRM functionality, reporting needs, and digital capabilities to enable scalable execution
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled capabilities, automation, and digital engagement to enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and proactive patient support.
  • Createexternal materialsdriving positive engagement with DT120 and Definium team members
  • Create internal training materialsensuring that allpatientfacing teamshave the required expertiseonDT120, REMS, and Definium Patient Services
  • Ensure Patient Services strategies supportpatientswith ongoing REMS related education and compliance needs
  • Utilizedataand analytics todrive departmental, program, andpatientsuccess

  • Oversee the promotional review process (MLR/PRC) to ensure all patient-facing marketing materials are compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales,Market Access partners,and cross-functional commercial teams to align engagement strategies with broader business objectives
  • Translate market insights into actionable strategies that strengthen engagement, differentiation, and launch readiness

  • Experience with process design and workflow developmentExperience supporting highly regulated therapies (REMS or DEA Drug Scheduling equivalent).
  • Ability to synthesize complex clinical, market, and customer data into actionable strategies
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to influence senior, cross-functional, and agency stakeholders
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity in a pre-commercial environment
  • Ability to travel as required; average 10-20%, with higher travel during key launch periods

The starting base pay range for this position is $180,000-$235,000, with compensation determined based on several factors including skill set, years of experience, and geographic location.
