Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Patient Safety to lead and advance our hospital-wide safety program in alignment with high-reliability principles. The role focuses on eliminating preventable harm, strengthening safety culture, and driving learning across departments.

The candidate will oversee incident reporting, risk analysis, and coordination with PSO and safety committees, with CPPS certification required or obtained within 12 months.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field – Required.
• Master’s Degree – Preferred.
• Clinical Background – Preferred.
• 3-5 years healthcare experience in patient safety, risk, and/or quality – Preferred.
• Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS) – Required.
• If not CPPS, must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and collaborate in the hospital-based patient safety program to eliminate preventable harm.
• Identify, report, investigate, and analyze patient safety incidents and risks.
• Champion culture of safety and chair/co-chair Patient Safety Committee.
• Provide ongoing education to leaders, medical staff, and staff on safety science and initiatives.
• Partner with executives and clinical leaders to ensure timely event management and open learning.

Bachelors Degree in healthcare related field
