The role requires CPPS certification within one year, a Bachelor's in a healthcare field, 3–5 years in patient safety or risk, and strong analytical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in healthcare-related field required.
• CPPS certification within one year of hire.
• 3–5 years of experience in patient safety, risk and/or quality.
• Experience with electronic health records and reporting systems preferred.
• Knowledge of patient safety science, regulatory requirements, and risk methods.
• Strong leadership and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and oversee proactive evaluation and redesign of care processes to prevent errors.
• Implement information systems to support patient safety activities and use data from multiple sources.
• Oversee investigation of serious events and internal/external reporting.
• Coordinate participation in Risk Reduction Program components.
• Guide leadership to promote learning, open environment, and safe systems.
