Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Director, Patient Care Service to lead clinical operations and initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer/VP Patient Care Services, the role drives productivity, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction while overseeing budgets and strategic growth.

The position requires an MSN or equivalent, 7+ years of senior nursing leadership, GA RN licensure, and certification in nurse leadership within one year; BLS and possibly ACLS are

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required or MS in another discipline with a BSN.
• Orthopedic areas (non-nursing) require MS as an Athletic Trainer.
• Seven years of senior nursing leadership experience.
• Active GA RN license; eNLC multi-state license if virtual care.
• Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC/NEA-BC) or CNML/CENP within one year.
• BLS; ACLS may be required depending on specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategic growth and operational objectives for the service.
• Oversee clinical and operational workflows to optimize patient care and service efficiency.
• Ensure budget oversight, resource allocation, and financial management.
• Standardize policies, orientation, training programs, and clinical competencies.
• Foster collaboration to maintain accreditation, certification, and high-performance standards.
• Develop staff through coaching, mentorship, and competency assessments.
