The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a strategic Director to lead the Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) Department in El Segundo, CA. You’ll shape technical strategy, drive reliability, and serve as a trusted advisor to DoD, IC, NASA, and civil space customers.

We are looking for a strategic Director to lead the Parts, Materials, and Processes (PMP) Department – a world-class team advancing the reliability and performance of National Security Space and civil space programs. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the technical foundation and strategy of the nation’s most critical space missions and serve as a trusted advisor to organizations including the U.S. Space Force, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), NASA, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). In this role, you’ll also have access to Aerospace’s state‑of‑the‑art Electronics Components Laboratory to drive innovation and advance our technical capabilities alongside experts across electrical/electronic/electromechanical (EEE) parts engineering, materials science, advanced processes and packaging, parts procurements and qualification, and root‑cause failure analysis. This is a full‑time position based in El Segundo, CA, requiring four days onsite per week minimum.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
