About the Role
Banana Republic is seeking a Director of Partnerships and Collaborations responsible for developing and executing strategies for impactful partnerships and product collaborations. The role requires strong leadership, creativity, innovation, and a deep network within fashion, entertainment, design, and lifestyle sectors.
This Director will be responsible for leading Banana Republic's partnerships and collaborations with a focus on growing the brand’s footprint and reaching new audiences that drive brand relevance and revenue. A deep connection to culture and understanding how Banana Republic can be at the forefront will be critical to success.
Key responsibilities include developing a brand partnership roadmap, identifying strategic opportunities, and managing end-to-end collaborations—from initiating partnership opportunities to product and marketing alignment, to overseeing execution cross-functionally. You will also manage budgets, contracts, and timelines. You should have outstanding leadership, organizational, and project management skills, with superior written and verbal communication skills.
What You'll Do
- Develop and own the brand partnership and product collaboration roadmap in alignment with overall brand and business objectives.
- Identify strategic whitespace opportunities that enhance cultural relevance and create commercial value.
- Monitor trends, cultural shifts, and emerging voices in fashion, design, art, music, and entertainment.
- Leverage an existing robust network of tastemakers, creatives, agencies, brands, and collaborators to source partnership opportunities.
- Lead the full lifecycle of collaborations—from concept development to contract negotiation, guiding product development, marketing, and launch execution.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and internal resources to deliver high-impact campaigns with a positive ROI.
- Plan, budget, set KPIs, and report on end results; provide strategic direction and coordinate with agency partners.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and impact by vetting and collaborating with celebrities, creators, tastemakers, emerging talent, and other partners in new and exciting ways.
- Report to the Head of Marketing.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of marketing experience with 5+ years in brand building partnerships and outreach to drive relevance.
- Collaborative mindset, with a desire to foster partnerships and integrate concepts with cross-functional teams (marketing, brand experience, creative, product, etc.).
- Outstanding organizational, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Broad connections and personality to engage with industry leaders and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to solve problems independently, think creatively and proactively, and implement solutions rapidly.
- This role requires cultural awareness, strategic thinking, and leadership experience.
- Proven ability to think strategically, understand business challenges, and develop effective implementation plans to drive results.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to navigate ambiguity and think strategically and swiftly across levels.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience managing complex projects and programs, leading multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with integrated marketing strategies, including influencer marketing, experiential activations, and paid programs.
