Job description

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is seeking a Senior Director, Quality Partnership to join our Quality team. The Senior Director will develop and support the Association’s outreach to diabetes quality professionals and relevant organizations. The Senior Director will lead collaboration and engagement with health care professional membership organizations, public health agencies, primary care organizations and other groups with a goal of improving diabetes outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Diabetes Public Health Collaboration

  • Recruit state and local public health associations to the ADA Diabetes Public Health Network.
  • Provide feedback to the state and local public health associations on diabetes population health goals.
  • Execute the Association's vision of improving diabetes integration into public health goals.
  • Train partners on quality improvement, implementation science, and dissemination strategies.
  • Oversee several advisory groups to plan strategies for professional outreach and ensure the Association’s senior staff and volunteers are kept informed of the work and progress of the groups through usual channels.
  • Oversee multiple funded programs, including planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation of the programs.
  • Direct quality initiatives and coach national teams.

Primary Care and Digital Health Care Collaboration

  • Facilitate the translation of the annual abridged Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes to primary state and local primary care associations.
  • Oversee a multi-year strategy for cultivation and engagement of digital health providers and primary care stakeholders.
  • Manage data sharing and research compliance.
  • Lead collaborations to determine linkages between organizational strategic priorities and mutually beneficial programs and initiatives.
  • Direct the ADA Primary Care Alliance and Primary Care Council.
  • Work in partnership with the Project Management Office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Public Health.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing and leading a team.
  • Experience working in a primary care organization or public health association. Proficient in project management and budget tracking systems, including report creation, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Promotional/communication knowledge and ability to plan large scale promotional efforts.
  • Highly organized self-starter who requires minimal supervision and excels in a team environment.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and implementation skills, with ability to consistently meet deadlines.
